- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪My dad had a stroke 8/11 and died there 8/24. The stroke consumed the entire left side of his brain so there was nothing they could do. While he was there my mom and I were treated like FAMILY. The Neuroscience ICU nurses were the ABSOLUTE BEST. The doctors were forthcoming, and sugar-coated nothing. We knew what dad was up against and so did they. They knew he was going so they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make him as comfortable as possible. When he was moved to 2nd floor hospice our nurse Angie was OUTSTANDING and EXACTLY what we needed. When dad died they took care of everything. NOT ONCE were we rushed. NOT ONCE did they try to push us out of the hospital. Bad as it sounds, in hindsight this was the BEST place my dad could have been when he died. Thank you Grand Strand for making a sad situation at least bearable. And THANK YOU personally to Terry, Jessica, Shelby, Angie, Kayla and Drs. Durst and Duff.
